More planning for baby...

So today we went to look at closet organizers for the baby's room. It was so hard to find something that worked b/c the closet width is so small, which is why we wanted an organizer in the first place! So frustrating. We think we finally found something that will work, but we need to go back to Home Depot/Lowes to make sure. And of course, we don't really know what will be more useful...more shelf space, hanging space, or drawers...

Tonight we had friends over for dinner and games. It was fun to dress up; although I think I tried on almost all my "going out" shirts before I found one long enough to cover my belly. :) I also won the game we played...which was total luck on my part b/c I usually suck at games.

Baby kicking

Today's Saturday. On Thursday night I felt the baby kick or move for the first time. Yesterday I only felt it at bedtime again, but today the baby's been very active. It's such a weird feeling!!

More snow...

It's snowing again today. We got two feet last week and now they're predicting another 15 inches...

We ended up getting 12 inches on Thursday.

Starting a blog...

I'm 16 weeks, 2 days in the photo.

So I've started this blog to chronicle my pregnancy.

We found out we were pregnant on Oct. 15th. The next week I was VERY ill. Then they put me on some anti-nausea meds for the next 3 weeks, but it still only took the edge off and I was sick every day. Then they doubled the dosage for the following 3 weeks. That took me to week 13, the end of my first trimester. I tried to taper off the medication but every time I tried, I felt awful by the third day. So, I'm now 4 months pregnant and have resigned to taking my daily dose of anti-nausea meds (but the original dosage not the double dosage). I heard at the pharmacist's yesterday that they are coming out with a generic. This is exciting b/c I've shelled out hundreds on the stuff!

Anyhow, at least now I can function. The first trimester I basically spent in bed. Now I can eat (although nothing sounds good and I sometimes still get sick in the morning), shower, and go places. Yeah!!

Now my biggest headache is trying to decide what to register for and how since some of the stuff I want to register for isn't available at BabiesRUs. I'm reading the WONDERFUL book "Baby Bargains" and it has great info...just takes a while to wade through. Then once I've picked something, I have to decide on the color or pattern! Decisions, decisions! I still haven't decided what I want to do for the nursery...either sage green/cream OR red/cream. I'm not going to do a bumper. I don't want any risk for SIDS or any more dust collectors. Maybe I'll end up posting items here that I want but aren't available on babiesrus.com.
