Starting around 9 or 10 weeks old, C started batting at the toys hanging from the activity mat. When we got to Katie's house, C was 10 weeks old. Katie said she couldn't believe how young he was batting at the toys. And he really does. He makes the bouncer move by kicking his legs and then he makes the toys move with his hands. It's really cute. He is still sucking on his hand or thumb and likes to grasp things too, like his bib, burp cloth, or my hair.
Yesterday, I got him to laugh a few times. It was really cute and made me feel really good since previously only D had been able to get him to laugh.
He puked yesterday on our walk and we're guessing that it was too much jiggling right after being fed. Then today he puked all over me during a feeding...so I'm not sure what I ate that he didn't like.
The other thing he does a ton of is moving and kicking his legs....like a ridiculous amount of kicking his legs. Maybe he'll be a runner??

Sat. 11/13/10... C updates :)
Yesterday C seems to have gotten better at getting his thumb consistently in his mouth. Today he seems to be using it to comfort himself before drifting off to sleep. Within the past couple days, it seems like we're getting on a feeding schedule (aprox. 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, 9pm) with him being awake after feeding and then falling asleep about half way between feedings (not always...sometimes he sleeps after until next feeding or sleeps until he wakes up). He's slept through the night the past three nights in a row so that's awesome. He's been sleeping through the night for a while now but just not consistently...a night here, a night there. He's smiling a ton now and C even laughed in D's lap last night. I grabbed the camera to get video of it and then of course he wouldn't do it again. He's so super cute and I'm beyond in love. I'm loving having a baby again, especially the part where he doesn't talk back, yell at me or hit me. ;) I'm trying to enjoy every moment with him, especially those that don't involve being puked on. :)
L woke up super early this morning and was singing at the top of her lungs in her room with her door open "This is the day that the Lord has made" and "Trust and Obey." I liked her choice of songs, but the 6am wake up call was definitely not appreciated, especially since C was still letting us sleep. C's been sleeping later than L.
After being off dairy for two weeks and C continuing to puke the entire time (with the exception of two days at the beginning), I gave up and started eating dairy again. A day after I started dairy again, C stopped puking. He went FIVE days without incident. Then he puked at almost every feeding one day so I decided that maybe the dairy really did bug him and went off dairy again. We're on day 4 of being dairy-free (again) and day 3 of him being puke-free. Hopefully he'll stay that way all week and eventually I'll be able to try reintroducing some dairy, like cheese or yogurt and see if he'll tolerate those. It could be that he can tolerate those, but not milk since milk was what I had the morning he started puking badly.
A week ago Friday night, L had croup so bad that we had to take her to the ER again. This marks the 4th time in 10 months that she's had croup and the 3rd trip to the ER. She slept well the days following but has had a nasty cough and continues to have junk in her nose. Luckily none of us got it but C's now on day 3 of sounding beyond super stuffy and he literally slept all day 4 days ago so I'm not sure if he got her virus or not.

L helps out
L set the table last night. It's so cute that she wants to help out and she's so eager for praise afterward. She made D repeat to her what I had said to her, "good job L."
