12/21/10... C 3 mos. wk 2

Today C has been using his tummy muscles a lot. When sitting forward-facing on my lap, he's pulling himself forward, like trying to do a sit-up. He also did this "sit-up" while in the swing. While sitting at the table with me, tonight he picked up his cloth book and played with it.

He also holds his head up off my shoulder quite well. And he likes to push off his legs.

Last week, he started blowing spit bubbles and he likes doing that a lot. He also "talks" (coos, makes noise, etc.) and this week he started squealing.

He sleeps well during nap time in the swing (he'll sleep in the swing in the basement when L is in her quiet time in their room). He's also starting taking at least one nap per day in his pack-n-play and is doing well with that. He's not swaddled during the day, but still swaddled at night.

He also likes laying on the floor and on the activity mat on the floor. He's okay doing some tummy time too. He can bat at the hanging toys on the activity mat and will stare & smile at himself in the hanging mirror.

He love his sister and she loves trying to make him smile and laugh. They really are a cute pair.

C most often has a thumb, finger, or all his fingers in his mouth. He likes licking, chewing, and sucking on them.

He is a really great baby. He seems laid back. I try to hold him as much as I can with my other household duties (ie: L), but he actually seems to get tired of being held and wants to be on his own, either in the bouncer or on the floor.
