6/22/10...naptime diaper...

So I was getting ready to write a post about how L has NOT worn a nap time diaper in over two weeks and she's had no accidents. Well, that changed at nap today. I *think* the problem was that b/c she still had a fever she slept longer than her normal nap. She slept for 2.5-2.75hrs, instead of her usual 1.5-2 hrs. Anyway, we're not going back to diapers, so hopefully it was just a fluke. She asked tonight why she had to wear diapers at night and I told her she didn't have to if she could wake up to pee. We'll have that discussion with her doctor next week at her 3-year-old appointment, but my guess is there's no point in going diaper-free at night until she wakes up consistently with dry diapers (which I don't think has ever happened).

In other news, she still had a low fever today...in the 99s so we'll have to stay home another day tomorrow. She's still acting totally normal. She's watched tv, played with playd*h, rode her scooter around the house, played with her doll (actually mine from 30 yrs ago), etc.

We were watching T*y Story 2 today and I said, "I like this song," and Elodie replied, "This song is sad."  The funny thing is that it totally is this sad, melancholy song and she recognized that.

She also said, "I'm screwing the screwer," using her toy screw driver to screw in a screw.

4/26/10: L sayings & Elliptical talent

Elodie came out of her room tonight and said, "Ut uh.  No diaper on.  I said ut oh because it was daddy's fault."  Dave had forgot to put her diaper on her for the night. :)

At dinner tonight with Dale, Candy, Mario, and us, Elodie said "Oh my god people," with her hands out and eyes popping out.  It was hysterical but we don't say that so we think she picked it up from Candy.

For a couple of weeks, she's been able to do the elliptical machine herself.  Pretty impressive since mama can barely do it! ;)

3/25/10: L update

Elodie said, "Good job mom."

I still think it's funny when she says "It's not cooperating mom."

Elodie was playing her C!ickstart game and when she clicked on the Y for yak, it shakes its head so she shakes her head crazily.  She likes playing her Le@pFrog C!ickstart games (hooks up to the tv).  She can pick out letters (some not at all) on the keyboard and she names them off while typing.

We took the railing off her full-sized bed today.  We'll see if that lasts.

The last couple of weeks, she'll take her diaper off during nap and then go #2 in the potty and then call for me to wipe her and put her diaper back on.

She'll say "daddy's doing punching" and "groundwork" for Dave's Kr@v M@ga class.

3/14/10: L saying

Elodie:  "What you doing?"

Boyd: "Changing Regal's poopy diaper."

Elodie: "Why poop in diaper?  I poop in potty."

7/17/09: potty training

L pooped on the potty today.  She refused to let me put a diaper on her for her nap.  She cried because she couldn't go potty after her diaper was on for bedtime.
