Apparently i can add carpel tunnel to my lovely list of pregnancy symptoms. Yuck. I would love for the tingling sensation in my hands & thumb and the shooting pain up my arms to go away! I totally think God is making sure that we don't have any more bio kids!
This morning I was finishing getting ready and I asked L what she would like to wear today. She came running back in with a brown shirt and khaki shorts, which she had pulled together from different outfits (all her summer stuff is hanging within her reach, all paired together), exactly like what I was wearing. Coincidence? I think not. I think my little girl wanted to be like her mommy. So cute! And she definitely looked cuter than I did!
I'll have to post a pic of her later.
Then we headed out to the park for playgroup. We were only there about an hour since we were having a lazy morning. Our neighbor's daughter Charlotte just happened to be there so she played a bunch with her and then, after she left, L played with Regal. Then when Regal left and only the babies were left, L threw a tandrum, laying on her face on the ground, screaming and crying so that was the end of the park play date.

Wed., 7/29/09...park, camera, prayers...
This morning L & I went to Chautauqua Park for the first time ever to meet a few friends. L had fun playing on the playground, but managed to fall up some cement stairs and gave herself a raspberry below her nose. After my friends left, L & I went up to the concert hall and listened to the symphony practice. L loved it...maybe a little too much since she wasn't that quiet. She clapped after each bit they played and would yell "yay!" We finally left when I thought she was getting so loud. We made it to the car just in time for the rain to start.
When I was getting our stuff out of the car at the park, I missed getting the camera bag strap completely over the stroller's handles and the camera bag fell to the asphalt. When I checked for damage, the lens filter I had on to protect the actual lens had chattered. I didn't want to deal with it then so I just took my camera out of the bag so it wouldn't be rubbing against all the broken glass and waited until I got home to unscrew the broken filter, shake all the broken glass off the camera, & shake all the glass bits out of the bottom of my camera bag.
So on the way home from the park, we stopped at the camera store to check out camera bags b/c maybe a new camera bag would be better?? I already had D order me a new filter as soon as it happened but I guess that means no picture taking for me until it gets here on Monday (here's to hoping it gets here sooner!!).
L peed before we left the house and held it all morning while we were out. I still can't believe that she's really potty trained (well except for those 3 times we tried putting her in capris or pants).
We got her a little drum set since she likes to bang on everything that she's not supposed to. We thought maybe this would be a good outlet for that. She LOVES it. She's so cute when she's giggling away banging on her drum w/her two drum sticks.
Yesterday, I got her a little travel suitcase w/wheels. Well really I saw that it had La Tour Eiffel, Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame on it and I had to get it for her. She really likes it. When we got home from the store she wheeled it around the block and then all around the house, including up the stairs. Today she's been wheeling it around the house and tried to take it on a walk but got rained on. It's really fun to see how much joy she gets out of it.
Tonight before bed, L said her prayers. It went like this: "Dear Jesus. Fall asleep fast. Mommy home safe. Daddy home safe. Amen." SO CUTE!!
Had to revert to the old point and shoot but I think I still got some cute ones:

After her walk tonight w/daddy although they didn't get very far b/c it started to rain. Obviously it was a little cold here today...when I checked earlier this evening it was 54F.
Taking off her socks during her jam session.

Tuesday, 7/21/09...playgroup...
Playgroup today was at my friend Liane's beautifully remodeled home. I brought D's friend Doug & his son Treydon to playgroup. Doug's a stay at home dad, but he used to work w/D & just moved into a house around the corner from us.

Gracin & Liane

L handing Doug a duckie. She liked Doug :)

Nolan, Davis & L

She discovered their Vtech kid digital camera & loved it. She went around taking photos with it...flash & everything. I think I'll be putting that on her wish list :)

i just love her expressions in these :)
